Pam Geffken is a highly skilled artist, whose abilities span a wide range of media and venues. Pam’s extensive knowledge of art, crafts and design meshes perfectly with her ability to relay this knowledge to children of all ages. Having seen her work effectively with students from preschool to high school, her passion for teaching is evident, not only in the enthusiasm she generates in her students, but in the results achieved by them.

Pam Geffken is awesome! With infinite energy, she discovers the unique gifts of each child she teaches. She creates a loving, uplifting atmosphere in which she connects children to music and art. As an educator, I am continually amazed by her clear gift for teaching; as a parent, I am deeply grateful that my children have been blessed by her inspiration and leadership.

ARTWORKS is an asset to the Charlottesville community! We’ve not had anything like it here until now! The Studio Director is one of the most talented and creative people I have ever met. Her artistic abilities in a variety of mediums is astounding. Pam Geffken possesses excellent skills in working with children and adults. As the mother of artistic daughters, I wish this Studio had been available when they were growing up!

As one of the “artistic daughters” of Louise Marchi, I have had the immense pleasure of working in the company of Pam Geffken on several different projects that ran the gamut from painting backdrops to writing and choreographing stage presentations. Pam is unsurpassed in her ability to not only develop creative ideas, but to identify the creative process required to achieve the desired results - her instruction is engaging and always in an easy-to-understand format. I find that when I’m around Pam I spend most of the time laughing and loving what I’m doing, no matter what I’m working on!

The passion Pam Geffken has for teaching and transforming lives is evident in every creative venture she undertakes! She is never satisfied until she is convinced she has inspired people to do their best. Pam puts herself on the line, and she makes a profound difference in the lives of others because she, herself, is the inspiration.

Pam combines her vast knowledge of theatre and the arts with her intuitive understanding of child and adolescent development, and creates a fun, active learning environment that allows creative minds and spirits to soar! My daughter had the opportunity to act in a musical that Pam directed, and she loved Pam's calm demeanor and enthusiasm. I admired how Pam was able to work with children and youth ages 9-18 and treat them all in a respectful, developmentally appropriate way. She's an amazing whirlwind of talent!
