WEE
ONES POP ART (Ages 2 through
pre-school)
Specifically
designed to delight and intrigue the littlest people, Wee Ones Pop Art is a “together program” for parents and
their children. A parent accompanies the young artist and participates fully
in the one-fun-hour art exploration time. Colorful, unique and engaging masterpieces
are created using all sorts of unusual tools - you’ll never see art the same way again, and your little one will be
excited as he or she is introduced to the wonderful world of creativity and self-expression right before your eyes!
PRE-SCHOOL
PRE-ARTZ (Ages 3 to 5)
The
Pre-Artz program is a fabulous introduction to design, color, form, texture and most importantly, the creative spirit! Pre-schoolers absolutely love opportunities to express themselves with artwork, and
the benefits of such soul-stirring activity are tremendous! Students will have
the chance to work with acrylics, watercolor, three-dimensional modeling paste, inks and much more. It’s a fun-filled, exciting week of deeply satisfying and educational
experiences!

SCHOOL CLAY SCULPTING (Ages 5 to 11)
Clay
sculpture is an ever-popular activity! We use the “real” thing -
the good stuff! Students are taught how to create an animal, the human face,
a reptile and a dish or bowl. Each child will complete four pieces over the course
of the five days. The fifth day of the week pieces will be painted, and all finished
work will be ready to be taken home. Modeling techniques are taught and all materials
are supplied to create the clay sculptures.
ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL ACRYLICS ON CANVAS (Ages 5 to 11)
This
painting class is sure to thrill even the most hesitant young artist! After a
brief introduction to basic drawing and perspective, the fun part begins: the
“tricks” for creating paintings on canvas are revealed! Students
will be amazed (as will you) at what they can create once they know how to do it! Each
child will create four paintings by the end of the week (landscape / seascape / abstract / portrait). The sense of satisfaction and accomplishment will undoubtedly fan the flame of artistic curiosity!
ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL WATERCOLOR & PASTELS (Ages 5 to 11)

and beautiful art of watercolor painting is introduced and explored in this class which includes an introduction to working
with soft pastels. Young artists will have the opportunity to produce a pastel
work on tinted paper. Four watercolor pieces will be completed by the end of
the week (nature / landscape / still life / contemporary design) using various techniques and applications which produce unique
and exciting effects!
MIDDLE
SCHOOL ACRYLICS ON CANVAS / WATERCOLOR CLASS (Ages 10 to 13)
Students will spend the first day of the week learning about and practicing various
painting techniques and application styles in preparation for the next four days of developing works of art on canvas and
watercolor paper. The Impressionist and Post Impressionism periods in history will be discussed and the methods of great
artists from the era will be the focus of our own creative exploration! Two large stretched canvases and one watercolor
piece will be finished by the end of the week. This class is designed for the "tween" who is serious about discovering
their ability as well as for the young person who has yet to understand just what they can accomplish with some courage and
the right opportunity!
